Alternatives & Comparisons
Straight comparisons against the other carpentry calculator apps builders actually ask about — what each one does, what it costs, and where it falls short.
What these comparisons cover
Picking a calculator app is a small decision that you live with on every job, so these pages stick to the things that bite you on site rather than feature-count marketing:
- Does it work without reception? Plenty of apps are a thin shell around a website. That matters in a basement, a lift shaft, or on a rural block.
- What does it actually cost? One-off, subscription, or a free tier that stops at the first useful calculator.
- Do you need an account? Some apps won’t open until you’ve signed up.
- What’s in the box? Which calculators are included, and whether they take metric and imperial input.
Comparisons are written from the publicly available version of each app and dated so you can see how current they are. Where we’re describing our own app we say so plainly — you’ll find the same claims spelled out on the features and pricing pages, and you can check them yourself with the free trial before paying anything.
