Building Code Requirements in Queensland
Which edition of the National Construction Code applies in Queensland, its adoption timeline, and the state-specific variations that affect what you build.
In Queensland, houses, sheds and decks (Class 1 and Class 10) are still built to NCC 2022. The state has put NCC 2025 back. It’s now set to start from 1 May 2027. So for every job you’re pricing or setting out today, NCC 2022 is the edition you follow. There’s no choice of edition to make here yet, which keeps things simple on site.
