Building Code Requirements in Western Australia

Western Australia has already brought in NCC 2025, but you’re in a 12-month switch-over window. Until 1 May 2027 you can build houses, sheds and decks (Class 1 and Class 10) to either NCC 2022 or NCC 2025 — your call, agreed with your certifier. After that, NCC 2025 is the only edition left. So it pays to check which edition a job’s approval was lodged under. Two sites next door to each other could each be running to a different edition right now, and both would be fine.
