Building Code Requirements in Sachsen-Anhalt
Sachsen-Anhalt's BauO LSA exempts an ordinary 1–2 unit house — and every roof-space room — from any fixed minimum room height at all. The clause number needs confirming.
Sachsen-Anhalt’s building law is the Bauordnung des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt (BauO LSA), currently in force.
Minimum room height (lichte Raumhöhe): 2.40 m where it applies — but Sachsen-Anhalt exempts an ordinary one- or two-family house (Wohngebäude Gebäudeklasse 1 & 2) from any fixed minimum room height at all, and exempts roof-space (Dachraum) rooms entirely too. That’s a broader exemption than most Länder give. The exact clause (§) number for these figures isn’t independently confirmed against current BauO LSA statute text — check the official text directly rather than citing a specific paragraph from this page.
Your LBO also sets boundary setbacks (Abstandsflächen), guard/parapet (Umwehrung) heights, and permit-free (verfahrensfrei) thresholds for garages and carports — confirm all of these, along with the room-height clause number above, in the BauO LSA text on landesrecht.sachsen-anhalt.de before you build to a number.
